Job Summary
This role will be working as part of the Operations team, and will be the first point of contact for supporting the management of Quality issues and the management of Quality System processes.
The successful candidate will take ownership of Calibration of all metrology equipment across BRC, so equipment is tracked and accurately measured against a known standard.
Candidate will also be the first contact for Quality Management System (QMS) documentation including format checking, loading and launching for approval.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with Cell Leads / Engineers to ensure that non-conformances are managed in accordance with Bragg Research Centre (BRC’s) procedures.
Managing BRC’s Calibration database in Q-Pulse to ensure that records are current and that equipment lists due for calibration are highlighted in a timely manner.
Main contact within QA for controlling documentation which is key to the smooth running of all functions within the QMS.
Supports QA Manager with preparation of documents in readiness for new guidance or Technical Review (TR) gates.
Carrying out audits as part of Huawei’s QA internal audit team, creating audit finding reports, issuing report findings to action owners.
Supporting Process Engineering / Integrated Test & Validation with the Defect Tracking System (DTS), Quality Control and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP’s), in order to maintain a consistent response and thorough investigation when required.
Ensuring that Corrective Action & Preventative Action (CAPA) owners are suitably supported during 8D investigations to enable timely closure of DTS tickets.
Working closely with action owners to ensure that key corrective actions that benefit continual improvement, are adequately resourced and are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timebound (SMART). Ability to escalate to senior management if action closure requires additional support to prevent avoidable overdue reporting.

Person Specification:
Required:
Working knowledge of the importance of effective Calibration systems within an R&D and Production environment
Ability to close the loop with action owners
Good oral and written communication skills
Assertiveness – the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders
Proficient with Microsoft Office for producing documentation and monthly metrics (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Ability to meet deadlines and identify efficient ways of working
Desired:
Working knowledge of ISO9001
Knowledge of 8D, Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA), Fishbone Analysis
IQA/CQI certificate or equivalent
UKAS accredited internal auditor trained
Experienced in Risk Management tools such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis
Demonstrable understanding of the criticality of accurate metrology and the importance of traceable calibration records
Experience of working with databases such as MS Access or Q-Pulse
Experience working in a III-V semi-conductor fabrication or manufacturing cleanroom environments
Experience working with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
