Huawei invites Camera Architecture Visionaries to join us in defining next-generation, end-to-end imaging concepts. We seek strategic innovators with proven expertise in cross-domain collaboration across optics, sensing, processing, and display. Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience in productization of novel camera solutions and features into flagship-level mobile imaging systems, and demonstrate the ability to deconstruct quality bottlenecks through first-principles thinking, revolutionizing consumer imaging experiences via algorithmic breakthroughs and system-level validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with related teams to create future imaging solutions in the domain of color and tone reproduction, or pixel reconstruction, based on customer requirements and shortcomings of existing solutions.
- Define related algorithms or modifications of processing architecture, evolving roadmap and be responsible for constant competitiveness of Huawei products.
- Propose efficient HW IP/SOC solutions, based on analysis, taking into account power/performance/area/latency/image quality tradeoffs.
- Organize proof of concept frameworks to guide color and tone reproduction, or pixel reconstruction algorithm research directions.
- Keep track of state-of-the-art algorithms applicable to embedded systems, image or video processing.

Person Specification:
- Required:
- Master/PhD degree with 7+ years of industry experience in mobile imaging
- Detailed understanding of mobile imaging systems & module designs: image sensors, optics, mechanics, auto-focus, optical image stabilization, SW and HW Image Processing Pipelines, etc.
- Good knowledge of state-of-the-art ISP data-flows and processing blocks (both classical and AI based).
- Experience with modern imaging color algorithms such as multi-illuminant-WB, spectral imaging, multi-camera fusion, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of modern concepts of end-to-end image processing, latest standards and color space definitions.
- Working knowledge of imaging system simulations and evaluation of simulation results. Knowledge of objective/subjective image quality metrics and measurement protocols.
- Ability to work autonomously, but also in collaboration with technical experts.
- Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Result driven, excellent communication skills, work in multi-cultural multi-site environment.
