Job Summary
Huawei is looking at for a Knowledge Computing Researcher, with research and development experience in LLM based agent, knowledge graph, knowledge reasoning/inference, semantic search (text/image/video), and question answering etc. Some experience on deep learning / logic is desirable.
As a Knowledge Graph Researcher, you are expected to have a solid understanding of the whole technology research and development cycle from research and design to implementation and evaluation, cooperating with engineering teams in headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement core modules in knowledge-augmented agent systems, including knowledge retrieval, memory modelling, and task orchestration.
- Drive the development of memory capabilities for intelligent agents, integrating structured and unstructured knowledge from multiple modalities.
- Architect solutions that deeply couple retrieval systems (RAG, KGs, databases) with agent planning, reasoning, and execution workflows.
- Work closely with LLM platforms, search infrastructure, and knowledge graph systems to build collaborative end-to-end agent solutions.
- Translate cutting-edge research into deployable systems across scenarios such as virtual assistants, intelligent QA, multi-agent collaboration, and AI developer tools.
- Be part of internal engineering efforts, with responsibility of algorithms, modelling, engineering and product scaling and support.

Person Specification:
Required:
- PhD in NLP, deep learning, knowledge engineering, information retrieval, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of work experience in at least one of the following fields is REQUIRED:
- Knowledge engineering technologies (RDF, SPARQL, OWL, SKOS)
- Natural Language Processing (LLM, agent, entity detection, question answering, etc.)
- Machine Learning / Deep Learning (LSTM, transformer, etc.).
- At least 2 (3-5 would be desirable) papers published on top conference/journal in the related fields like KDD, ISWC, ACL, NeurIPS, ICML, EMNLP, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, WWW, KR.
- Excellent software design and coding skills in the recent 3 years. Strong problem-solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired:
- Experience of LLM based agent.
- Knowledge of various reinforcement learning (POMDP, Imitation Learning, etc.) and deep learning (word embedding, LSTM, GAN, Pretrained models etc) algorithms for NLP.
- Knowledge of building large-scale knowledge graphs, especially reasoning and inference engine on knowledge graphs.
- Experience of tensorflow, pytorch.
