Job Purpose:
The role is for a Post doctorate level candidate with knowledge in one or more areas relevant to GPU Architecture research and development.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of activities related to the ongoing development of Huawei’s own GPU architecture, including, algorithm research, functional and low level modelling, architectural feature definition, specification and evaluation, compiler technologies and power and area optimisations.
You should have a demonstrable understanding of one or more of rendering technologies, graphics pipelines, GPU architectures, GPU computing, modelling and simulation, ray tracing, or compiler technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General algorithm and architectural feature research
2. Modelling and simulation
3. Feature and micro-architecture implementation trade-off.
4. Real-time graphics algorithms or shader program design and optimization to improve performance, save bandwidth and power
5. Performance/Power Tuning
Required:
· PhD in relevant discipline
· Demonstrable knowledge of at least one of, graphics APIs and pipelines, GPU architectures, GPU computing, modelling and simulation, ray tracing or compiler technologies
· Self-motivated, well organized and good team player
· Good verbal and writing communication skill, great coding skill
Desired:
· Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: Vulkan, OpenGLES, Metal, DirectX11 or 12 and/or OpenCL
· Knowledge NN technologies
